Home is where the heart is.
But what if your heart is scattered and lost to you – pieces of it left with people and places along your journey? What then?
Is home then everywhere, or nowhere?
Who will protect you, hold you to their chest so you can feel their heartbeat and their breath, and make you feel safe when you feel untethered and lost?
Who will make sense of the broken pieces of your heart, and bring them back together again, for you to remember who you are and how you love?
You. You will do this. In your own time, in your own way. Whether it looks messy and undignified or gloriously phoenix-like, you will put yourself back together again, and find your home in your heart.
You are the only one who can. … P.S. If you don’t want to do this journey alone, I can be there with you whilst you figure it out. I’ve done this journey a few times, and whilst the struggle is real, so is the love I received along the way to support me. Don’t be afraid to say I’m lost. It’s the only way you can begin to look for the way home.
